Honey, Enough, and Dudesdudesdudes

Molly & the Dreamers will be performing at Honey in Northeast Minneapolis on May 13Here’s the event on Facebook so you can do your social media magic.

This show is going to be awesome because M&tD will be playing for the first time as a full band! Our dear friends Caz Falen and Josh Kaplan (of VAN STEE) will be turning M&tD into a ROCK BAND. BFD! Officially the hottest band in the Twin Cities.

Finally, Nate and I were on Rudy Pavich’s podcast The Pavcast to promote the show on May 13 at Honey in Northeast Minneapolis. We’re playing alongside Rudy and Dave Kittelson’s band Dude Worthy and We Doubt the Idiots. You should listen to the podcast because Nate and I perform an acoustic version of “Enough” (you can skip to ~28:20 if that’s all you want to hear).

Columbus, Schmolubus

Nate and I just got back from our time in Columbus visiting dear friends Kay and Joseph Barker (otherwise known as the band Bella Ruse). We roadtripped down in one hardcore 12-hour superdrive to make it there overnight, then we spent the rest of the week eating Kay’s amazing cooking, watching all four Terminator movies, and perfecting my insanely good whiskey-tasting palette. — Oh, and we recorded some music!

It kind of feels like April Fools to be back in Minneapolis.

We were really there so Nate could record his long awaited re-debut solo album, Excerpts from “Journey to the Center of the Universe: The Musical” – obviously a very ambitious project — but we also managed to fit in one Molly & the Dreamers track, “The Calm.” I can’t wait to share more music with the world, and I promise I’m working hard to make it happen.

Here’s what recording with Joseph looks like:
